Pet Therapy Class K-9 Healers is a business owned by Gail Furst that specializes in teaching dog obedience in Nursing Homes, Pet Therapy Training, Evaluating animals for Therapy Dog International, and implementing programs bringing certified dogs and children together. K-9 Healers offers dog obedience classes specializing in:

LEVEL I: Basic Dog Obedience
This class teaches the dog and handler basic commands using the Volhard Motivational Method.
LEVEL II: PREPARATION FOR ANIMAL-ASSISTED VISITS AND CERTIFICATION OF TEAM - Advanced Dog Obedience
This is for those interested in doing Pet Therapy and Animal Assisted Visits. This class increases the relationship between the handler and the dog. Level II builds on level I and prepares the team for the Canine Good Citizen test and evaluation for Therapy Dog International.
K-9 HEALERS
Offers private consulting to facilities in establishing standards for safe animals visiting programs.
TEMPERAMENT TESTING
Measures the dogs reaction to staged situations as found in various facilities. These reactions determine suitability and safety of the animal.
EVALUATIONS FOR:

- THERAPY DOG INTERNATIONAL (TDI)
